Silvalea continues strong export growth after securing new £500k contract in Germany

As a leading provider of bespoke and specialised patient handling slings, Silvalea have a strong export market and recorded growth of 15% in 2024 in all key export markets. Pleased to announce the new sling order valued at £500k from Germany, this will help to cement a long-term contract with our partner who is providing healthcare products across Germany into 25,000 care home providers. A range of dedicated slings has been developed and will further strengthen our presence in the German market.

It has been an excellent 12 months for the company, with new products launched in both the sling and hoist arena. Silvalea supported by Savaria will continue to grow and develop new patient handling products during 2025 and beyond, working alongside healthcare professionals to continue its drive to improve patient safety and comfort.

There are also plans to open a new ‘Centre of Excellence’ in the coming months.

Gary was recently joined by Les Teague, Savaria Patient Care President, who was able to see the progress of the new site and remarked that this will give Silvalea the freedom to enhance the growth of the entire Savaria Patient Care product offering into the UK and EU markets. Les added: “This will be an exciting time for Silvalea and its team, as Savaria look to continue to enhance the Silvalea legacy and support its growth in the coming years.”
